Coonhuntin aint a bug a hobby or a sport. Its a disease thats incurable and is with u till u die. And if all dogs go to heaven theys gotta be coons on the river of jordan.

If your a true coonhunter you can never stop going. If I take off a week I get figgity. My wife will tell me to go or Im going to drive her nuts. The old man that got me hooked told the rest of the boys one night that Id never quit coonhunting. He told them they would probably all quit but I had it BAD. Im still hunting and there all out of it. They'll still call me up every other coon season to go out for a couple drops and talk about some of the hunts we used to have. We hunted some ##*%* poor dogs back then. lol Good luck with your coonhunting.

The first time I ever went, the old timers were running dogs. When they opened up it was the most impressive and awesome sound I ever heard. Hook. Line. And sinker. Don't remember if we killed any that night but that was it. I was in love. Now I got red bones that I love to run and I can't wait to introduce my 2 month old daughter to the life of running hounds in the swamps of our great state of Florida. U either love it or you will never do it again.
