I have a 2 year old female that has had no training yet. I took her in on trade and I have 4 younger dogs then her that I am working with. You could have this dog for free! I am located in north east Kansas and she is from Midnight Monster on top and goes back to Southern Pines Jet on the bottom. Good looking dog has 25 points won in show in UKC she is also PKC registered.

cheap dog cheap results sounds to me u spend more time complaining than u do huntin. u have lost ur mind thinking this is a cheap sport. buckshot said it all on the first page. u mite want to take up deer hunting. u can do that cheap. coon huntin aint cheap. i dont have a fancy light but do have good dogs they are priceless. and my garnin took me a while to save up for. just got my son a garmin for christmas. his is better than mine. got him two walker pups for FREE ask him what he would take for um last i ask him it was more than i make in a month. you too can find free dogs wouldnt get one less its a pup though more rewarding there is no instant gratification in any sport they all take money and time

Find someone that needs dogs hunted. I run a dog that isn't mine and a pup that it. You are making excuses trying to get a good dog for cheap. Get a dog to run and get a pup with good bloodlines. hunt it a lot and learn from mistakes and ask questions.... simple as that.

I hate to bring up an old post but my oldest dog I got came from the local pound he was about four months old an 20 pounds under weight no one came to pick him up. I waited the two weeks for the owners to come get him they never showed so the pound called me an I spent 95 bux on him. He's the best dog I have ever owned. My youngest I got from a friend who gave him to me at a month old. His coon dog died givin birth to him an two others he's another best dog I've ever owned. I hunt them both an they do good. I listened to what my friends an the old guys who all hunt/hunted coon to train my dogs and it's a great experience. I no u posted a while ago and possibly already have a dog by no but good luck to ya.

Sorry to hear that... I would agree with this, I try to not to sell a dog until.there well started, I find that does two things, first you.can ask more which helps in sure the new owner will take care of them being they spent some money, on the dog and second they should tree coon for the new owner right off the bat which should make a first good impression, which I've found often can go a long way.

Certainly time and money spent on raising and training a hound is a factor on priceing..Also the hunts have been a big factor especilly the money hunts..If you look hard enough you will find a good ole country cooner at a resonable price. Good luck.

our best dog we got to train some pups. we got him last year. hes a 11year old male walker. his owner passed away and he wasn't taken care of and we got him fed him good and got him in shape we hunt 2-4 times a week were both seniors in highschool with jobs after school. im not saying our hounds are champions but we conistently are knocking coons out of the tree every hunt. 75% my money goes to my hounds and the the rest goes to bills and savings. Just keep looking for older hounds they tend to be cheaper then hunt it for a season and know how it works then buy a pup and hope your son likes it because its expensive. I wouldn't let any of our younger dogs go for under $800. its just so much money, time, and effort in training. goodluck to you.

The cost of a making a pup into a well started or finished hound. You will go through a light,a pair of boots, all your training tools are't cheap,tracking/training collars, the wear on your truck, and the lists goes on. Then you have a person that will give you a hard luck story on needing a almost free hound in their nice car or truck holding the latest and greatest cell phone in their hand. But they want that CHEEP hound.

This guy wanting someone to give him a cheap hound is ridiculous. A few year old hound has already eaten 200 dollars worth of food. You cant buy a decent bred pup for what this guy is wanting a finished hound for? you buy a cheap horse you get bucked off or hurt. buy a cheap junky car your left stranded, a good hound honest hound is worth every penny you pay and more. take a chance buy a junky dog and feed it for a year and it doesn't work out think about how much money and time you have wasted now.

I THINK WE ARE WASTING OUR TIME TRYING TO GET THIS MAN TO SEE THINGS DIFFERENT. IF HE DOESN'T WANT TO PUT THE MONEY AND HARD WORK IN IT, HE NEEDS TO FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO. BUCKSHOT KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT.
