hey all
by buddy just got a coyote dog, and he called it a running walker. i haven't seen it yet but he said it was butt ugly. :D if any body knows anything about this type of dog let me know

most the running walkers ive seen look the same as the treeing..same color variotions and such..running walkers will tree..they are just used more for like fox and coyote. american and english foxhounds also look like walkers,

A old guy down the road has a bunch of them for coyotes and fox , look bout like a regular walker to me . Maybe he just got a ugly one or someone lied about what the dog really is

Running Walkers are foxhounds. They are not bred to tree, although some do. The typical running walker is faster than a treeing walker, and often a little lankier.
Go to speeddogs.com to look at foxhounds and read about them...

a running,trigg,and so on are treeingwalkers they just give them that name to seel them if it smells like a rose and looks like a rose chances are its a rose :lol:

triggs are running dogs- theres only one in a great number that will tree in any form or fashion. if youre running a pack of bear dogs you may could run a walker/trigg as a pack/running type dog if you have other dogs that will hold a tree well but as for coon i dont think he/she would cut it.
