What would you do if you had coyotes come in to your dogs while they was treed? Coyotes are bad in ohio and one night we was hunting and had some circleling our dogs and coming in pretty quick!!

If you know they are coyotes, and coyotes are the only animal I would EVER say this about, shoot til you can't shoot no more!Even if you can just wound some- the pack knows it is only as strong as it's weakest member and will finish the injured off.We need to wage war on all coyotes because hunting will never keep up with mating.Talk about the meak inheritting the Earth- coyotes and mosquitoes are already inheritting it around here.

Shooting at them will teach them pretty quick that coming into baying dogs is a trick. Just like calling in a yote to a call and missing the yote becomes call shy.

Now I hunt Blackmouth Curs and I've had a couple coyote come in towards a tree at night. The dogs hackled up and I just told them go kill one. They came back after a few minutes, so I know they didn't catch him. With a young dog, I'd put a lead on him for sure.

all they yotes around here get ran pretty hard...they learn real quick not to go anywhere near a barking hound...if its legal where u are i would find someone with yote dogs and run them some they will learn real quick...other than just shoot em.

Where are you located Jimmie ? How long ago did this occur? Thats a serious matter if the whole pack was rabid.
