i was just wondering what hunts everyone prefers pkc or ukc. what is the good or bad of the hunts you prefer. ive hunted 3 pkc hunts and prefer them over ukc. the only thing i dislike about pkc is some are exspensive and are mostly on week nights in my area.

PKC is way better. For one reason or another some fellas don't like to take minus in the ukc hunts, among other things. I don't think I will be hunting many useless hunts in the future if any. I used to look forward to Black and Tan Days but it just does not do it for me anymore but the PKC Labor Day Classic I can't wait for. I am going to try the Spring Super Stakes this year and maybe a few other big PKC events.

I prefer ukc over pkc in my area. But there are also a lot more ukc than pkc around here so maybe that is why

I perfer ukc. Reason being the 25$ fee to join pkc,and a couple of their rules I don't care for..

I have never seen had any trouble in ukc hunts. If every one knows the rules and follow them with some degree of common sense every one should get along fine no matter what registery they choose..

Personally I enjoy hunting both regestries. Theres not that many PKC hunts close to me though and I will focused on getting a dog titled out in UKC first, but if theres not a UKC hunt close, then I'm looking for a PKC hunt that is.

i was always told that the guys who hunt pkc are out for blood cause there is money involved. but i found out that wasnt true at all. i pulled a good cast every pkc hunt i was in. i was also told it was alot easier to win a pkc hunt too because of the rules(NOT TRUE). i found that the the top dogs at ukc are the ones who hunt pkc. i enjoy ukc hunts too but i found out that there are guys willing to do anything to title a dog. not saying anything bad about either but i wish we had more weekend pkc hunts in eastern ohio.

I'll take pkc over ukc anyday of the week. I hunt both but once you Grand a dog out there is not much left to do with him. Pkc does not cost anymore if you are on the winning end. I would not say I make money from hunting pkc but at least it pays for me to go most times. Added money hunts puts a little extra in the pocket makes it nice.

I like to hunt both. There are usually alot more PKC hunts held though than UKC. I have only been to one ACHA hunt and I am really debating on starting an ACHA hunt in Butler PA. There are crooks in all of the kennel clubs let's face it. But in my opinion a man will be more likely to screw your eyeballs out for 30,000 dollars than a trophy. Just look at the Rick Stretch incident in the PKC. But none the less you will get a bad deal eventually in all kennel clubs.

me and some other people have tried to get our local club to hold pkc hunts. thet say they wouldnt make enough money from pkc and would rather hold w.t.d.a. hunts. but there isnt a bunch that come to w.t.d.a. hunts so i would think that with more people huntin pkc they would make more. i guess i need to go back to school and take some math lesson's

If your club wants to make more money on a hunt go with ACHA hunts. They are the cheapest for the clubs with the best payback. Plus a lot of people's ears perk up when they hear about a new hunt in town.

I've hunted dogs in both UKC and PKC, and by far the best and most well put together is UKC.

I hunt both registries and I like PKC a little better. I'm just a strong believer that there should always be a winner in MOST cases. I mean heck, if the coon aren't moving and my dog is the only dog in the cast that isn't running junk because the coon aren't moving, then I believe that my dog is the best dog in the cast and should be rewarded for it! I mean I pay my entry fee, just because the coon aren't moving doesn't mean my dog should always go home empty handed....

I've also noticed that the dogs in PKC are a little different. I noticed there isn't so much me-tooing. Most dogs in PKC in my area are the type that get out by themself...

JMO though :)
