Yes both horses and mules . First time in the woods for a horse can be a pain if the horse gets in a bind vines, barbwire , mud in the wet season , a green horse will hurt himself and you . but a mule will not hurt you are himself in vines sawbriers mud I had a mule jump a barbwire fence one night got his hoof tangled up in the top two wires the mule landed on his back with all four feet stright up in the air no kick, no strugle just layed there until I got him lose. But on a good hard county road he would do some dump things but not in the woods.

I don't own mules but a good friend of mine wont turn his dogs loose without having a mule to carry the gun, coons, food and drinks! he hunts in style! It is especially nice if there are a lot of hills... Let the mule do the work!
