Well cut the dogs loose last night. Was in the woods for probably 3 or 4 hours and in that little time done picked 5 ticks off me and another 2 or 3 when I got home in the shower. They just came out in the last couple days but I mean they're coming out in full force.
Anybody else seeing them already?

Yes :?: for anyone more learned than I am, do ticks who suck blood have a heat sensing ability in their bodies and is that how they find prey so fast. Do they mainy hang on branches than drop? This was last weeks ? of the week at the fox pen

ticks sit on branches on grass and when u rub on the branches and grass, they cling onto you. ive head they the grab on with their fron feet, and then stick their back feet off the branch, so they basically look like little flags on a flag pole.

It's a combination actualy.
They are attracted by Carbon Dioxide, Heat and Movement.
Similar to Masquitos, their attracted to your breath more than anything.
But yeah, we've been getting them for a couple weeks. I never have much trouble with em personaly. I think my blood is toxic or something. On the rare occassion I do find one dug in, it's dead.. kind of wierd..

I wish I had that problem. I reckon they're especially attracted to me extra special for some reason.

You're not one of those that get them just by looking at the yard are ya.
We got tons of the suckers. I just went and checked everyone over, the daily spend dog time rutine. Found a couple of the nasty suckers.

I usually don't get them that bad but this week has been worse than ever before. I cleaned a fence row out this afternoon at the house and picked a couple little ones off of me and 2 of them were attached. If it's one thing I hate, it's a tick
