I just recently got a Great Dane an Pitbull cross pup for catch and I wanna use redbones to bay how would I go about training the dogs and how many should I use posted using Outdoor Hub Campfire |

if I were going to start over again ,I would go with someone experienced and ask as many questions as I could think of about this sport.as far as starting a catch dog,that wont be hard at all,most pits will catch naturally so u want have to train it only get it some practice.if u can use a hog to start a dog with n ur state ,start with a smaller pig for the pup and work way up in size until dog is big enough to take hunting.with the bay dogs its a little bit different I encourage you to accompany some one on a hunt if at all possible.poor man's grizzly can be rough on man and dogs alike. |

We do some hog bayin competition and the bird dogs that compete are usually on the a- game, and some of the ruffest I've hunted with are bird/bull crossed . |
