i run 1 hound alot and yes he`s been chewed up a few times. if your not running during breeding season or when there`s pups on the ground you`ll be fine.

We only run one jump dog at a time then when the coyote gets up and moving we turn are speed dogs loose. it works out well and you dont run all your dogs down runnin out a cold track. I would not run only one dog. coyotes are smart and fast and can give one dog the slip pretty easy.

I like to have a pair out on a track that work well together. they learn to work of each other and wil hopfully lift a yote faster

One will work just fine but as you get into the end of March, April the yotes get a bit more stand offish, but we've run 2, 3 yotes, etc with one dog. Often the yotes split up. We used to run a whole bunch of dogs at one time but there are just too many roads in PA for that. I do agree with the fella that said two dogs that work well together- his statement about working well together though is the key- two dogs can be worse than one dog until you get a yote up as many times as not. Good luck, Paul Conway.

U can run 1 dog in day time ok, but I would not run 1 at night by him self coyotes can get nasty at night on one dog.
