The chain is just long enough for him to stand and not long enough for him to get on the tool box or over the edge.

Nice setup larry.. That would work good for me and the coon dogs as well.. I still got a wood box, not enough coin for a nice aluminum one yet.. Nice red dogs !! Tim

Mine in carpeted. I use heavy duty outdoor carpet with grooves in it so it doesn't hold water.

Ike and Choco had just been picked up in this photo off a bear where they had been gone over 36 hours, and that's why they look a little beaten up!

36 hours ??/ Them are some good hounds to stay out that long..Thats a good riggin setup with the side rails looks easy to reach to unhook em.. Never seen em rigged on the hood before.. I've seen front receivers with slide in rigging platforms with rails.. Any issues with heat on the hounds feet rigged on the hood??? Thanks for the pictures all.. Tim

here is some better pics of my box, the raised sides also allow all dogs on both sides to rig from the box but can also rig one on top. has three snaps on each side, so i can fit 6 dogs with plenty of room, but can hold more if need be.

36 hours and you were putting them on top of the box!!!!!!!! They must be made of steel.

Here's a rig platform I made for a Tracker. I can still go through ditch dugouts if not more than 1.5 feet deep. Have a rubber matt for the floor, it's just not there for the pic.

The platform goes on the rear receiver for travelling to and from the hunting location.
