Zechariah had a ultrasound of his kidneys today. The docs are concerned with his bp it has been trending up over thelast couple of days. So far we have no results but are wiating patiently for God to do his work. He has been tired the last couple pf days and has had a few brady episodes here lately. They have stopped bottling him today to give him a break and see if that helps him recover. This ,whole thing has been like a roller coaster and it is taking its toll on the family. Just pray for the peace of God to strengthen our family and impact the lives of those we come ion contact with. Pray also for us to be bold in living and speaking the gospel tothose we are around. God has a plan here and he isn't done reaching people through this situation. May God get the glory.

God is my refuge in Him I will trust

Here is a pic of Zechariah from a week ago. This was after his nuc test. He is doing good. The docs are nervous about how things are going. He isn't quite going as fast as they want. They have put his canula back on and he has his feeding tube back in since this pic. The way I see it is God's work isn't done down there yet and when it is He will bring him home. We still appreciate all the prayers for him and our family.

Christ is our strength

Well the docs are giving him another transfusion hoping that will solve the problems with his apnea. He has been having more and they are trying to figure out why. Please pray that this will solve the problem. It gets hard riding this roller coaster of ups and downs. We are resting on the promises of Christ. I am so glad that He has given us his word and the Holy Spirit to draw our strength from.

Resting in the arms of Christ

Well it was another up and down weekend. It started off on Sat. with the docs telling us he needed a transfusion and ended this mornig with Zechariah having blood in his stools. So we feel like we are a yo-yo with all these ups and downs. Our emotions are on edge as this continues to go on. It has been hard when the docs don't give you a plan on what they are doing. As far as the blood the docs think it is from a switch in the fortifier in his milk. So tomorrow they are switching him to pure breastmilk. We do greatly value you prayers and encouraging posts. We know in our hearts that God has this all under control but at times it is hard to remain upbeat when you are in the middle of the fight.

A little more info on the blood in his stools. I just got off the phone with the nurse. apparently he has a twisted bowel and they are hoping it will straighten back out. When I asked them what next they keep saying we will take another exray in the mornig this is where i get vewry frustrated. I don't understand why they don't tell us the plan for his treatment. It would defenitely ease some of the tension instead of them telling us moment by moment. We are very frustrated at this. Please pray in this area.

Zechariah is doing well since this weekend. He hasn't had a brady or apnea issue since the 4th and he is showing signs of tolerating the breast milk very good. We could use prayers that he would start to gain weight with the breast milk as he has went down a little. Another issue is his blood pressure. It is still high and he is on meds for this. God is an awsome God and i thank him greatly for the protection of this little life he has entrusted to us. We as parents need to look at each of our children and thank God for this time we have. I am still needing prayersfor strength and endurance as this race is getting long and kind of tiresome. I know God will see us through this.

Here is an update on Zechariah. He is up to 6 bottles a day and they are talking of on demand feedings. His apnea and bradey episodes have greatly deminished which is wonderful. He is still on a daily blood pressure medicine. He also has an as needed blood presure med but he hasn't needed it for a while now ptL. We are catiously optimistic of bringing him home soon. I just continue to pray that we would see what God wants us to do down there and who we are to minister to through this situation. God's ways are not our ways and God's plans aren't our plans. Lord help us to walk in your ways. May Christ have been glorified through this.
