I'm posting this here this week hoping some of you might find the studies and concept useful. If any of you do I'll continue it weekly and if it passes the mods muster.I'll include a few other links this first week that might help in studies etc.
Torah simply means teaching, instructions .If you follow the teaching of Yahushua/jesus , then this would be what he taught from , the Torah
let me know and I can keep it going or let it slip out.

Torah PORTIONS seeks to encourage Christians to become familiar with the five books of Moses. On these pages you can follow, read and hear the weekly portions from the Torah. We have created the structure of PORTIONS as a hub for teachers and students to link up, share with one another, and to focus on the weekly Torah portion.

Righteousness and Justice
Thought for the Week:

Through the prophet Jeremiah, God promises that He will send the "Branch of David" to execute justice and righteousness on the earth; "In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth." (Jeremiah 33:15) This is prophecy of Messiah. Messiah is called "Branch of David" because he is a descendent of King David. When He sits upon David's throne, He will dispense justice and righteousness for all mankind.
Commentary:

Now these are the ordinances which you are to set before them. (Exodus 21:1)

The Torah is the standard of righteousness. But it is also the rule of justice (mishpat, משפט). The laws of the Torah are just, and their implementation is the administration of justice. This week's Torah portion is called mishpatim (משפטים), a word that means "judgments." It is primarily a list of commandments and guidelines for the exercise of righteousness and justice.
Righteousness can be understood as the fulfillment of all legal and moral obligations. In the juridical sense,...

Inside the Ark
Thought for the Week:

The ark of the covenant was at the heart of the Tabernacle. As such, it corresponds to the heart of man. Just as the ark was God's throne in the Tabernacle, we need to make our hearts a suitable throne for Him in our lives.
Commentary:

You shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you. (Exodus 25:16)

It is easy to look good on the outside, but how do we make our hearts pure and keep them pure? Is it even possible?

In Hebrew thought, the heart is the not regarded as the seat of the emotions. Instead it represents a person's thoughts, intellect and will. The Hebrew Bible uses the word heart the way we use the word mind in English.
The Torah says, "Every intent of the thoughts of [man's] heart was only evil continually" (Genesis 6:5) and "The intent of man's heart is e...

Parasha: Tetzaveh
The Daily Continual Burnt Offering
Thought for the Week:

Yeshua's sacrifice is continually before the Father. He is the lamb continually on the altar before the throne. He is the "the Lamb of God" whose atoning sacrifice for sin is continually before the Father. Thus the writer of Hebrews states: "Nor was it that He would offer Himself often. ... Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself." (Hebrews 9:25-26)
Commentary:

Exodus 29:38-42. God ordained a daily worship service in the Tabernacle. The daily worship service was called the "continual burnt offering." Every day, two male lambs were offered up as burnt offerings for this daily service.

The continual burnt offering (tamid, תמיד) began each morning with a male lamb offered as a burnt offering (olah, עולה). The lamb was slaughtered and placed on the fire on the altar as the first sacrifice of the day. Each subsequent sacrifice that day was placed on top of the continual burnt offering lamb. The lamb burned on the fire all day.

The 'Church' at Mount Sinai
Thought for the Week:

We often see pictures of Jesus in churches, but the real Yeshua never actually went to a church. He attended synagogue. Luke 4:16 says it was His custom to attend the synagogue every Sabbath. The early meeting places of the believers were synagogues. In James 2:2, the text says, "If a man comes into your assembly (sunagogay)..."
Commentary:

Moses returned from atop Mount Sinai and "assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel." (Exodus 35:1) The assembling of the congregation helps us understand the origin of the word "church."
The first Hebrew word of Exodus 35:1 is the simple word qahal (קהל), which means "to assemble." The Hebrew Scriptures often refer to the people participating in the Temple service as "the assembly." The "assembly of Israel" is a common Bible phrase denoting all Israel. In its noun form, the word qahal typically passes into the Greek LXX version of the Bible as the Greek...

What Is Torah--Pt.1

EDDIE cHUMNEY
Discover the Biblical meaning of Torah from Genesis to Revelation. Yeshua is the living Torah. The Torah is the way, truth and life. The Torah is the Will of God. The Torah is likened to water, milk, honey, wine and hidden treasure. The Torah is light, love, peace and liberty. Yeshua is the lawgiver and we show our love for Yeshua by following His Torah and keeping His commandments (John 14:15)
