Its Christmas morning out here on the farm, a day of peace. Yesterday we buried my dad after a 7 year battle with cancer. After a month of caring for him at home, (he wanted to stay on the farm when there was no treatment left), this is the first day when things return to normal. Time to go out for chores and say hello to the hound which has been so badly ignored this past month. Time to move on. Thank you Lord for sending Your Son to do for us what we could never do ourselves.

Merry Christmas' as I read your posting to my family my eyes filled with tears and my words did not come easy. You and your family have our prayers. As I prayed I was reminded that for those of us who are His, there are no "goodbyes" only "see you later" and no endings only new beginnings. How cool is it that we get to be His, we are kids of the King! We'r headed to the woods tonight, we will tree one in memory of your Dad. May our God hold y'all tight in His arms.

Your brother in South, John

Sincere thanks to everyone. Long day yesterday but good. Today seems different, better, and I gotta get going outside after the morning coffee. Dad was a Blood bought believer and that makes things good. Will meet him again. And I sure agree with skeets, "we just need to be ready because we don't know the hour when Christ will call us". Live every day ready for Jesus.

Yes, no good byes between those that love Jesus, only see you laters. Still we miss our loved ones when they are away from us, don't feel like being sad or wiping tears means you have any less faith. It is hard but the emotions will eventually adjust and Jesus has more than enough understanding of what it is to be away from family....He did leave heaven to come live here then He had tears when Lazarus was dead the first time. Hey tscep, toss me a pm, maybe we can go grab coffee sometime.
