God can take anything and bring his word out. god related the bible with my turkey hunt. first of all if you dont know, in nature its natural for the hen to go to the gobbler,what we do as hunters by calling the tom up gos against nature. last week my buddy and i was hunting. i was trying to call one in for him, a turkey gobbled across the ridge so we got set up and i began to call. he started coming. he made it within 60 or 70 yards and hung up. now we were on public land so i new he had been called to before and by the way he acted i would say he had been shot at before. we worked him for about 30 min. with no luck. so i tried everything i know. there was no doubt he had been educated! but needless to say against his best judgment he came in and lost his life. a few nights latter i was reading the bible and god spoke to me and i found myself in genesis ch.3 as you know it talks about eve being deceived by the devil. god told them not to eat of the tree of life and the devil tells her (did god not tell you, you could eat of every tree?) its funny how the devil will use the word against you. but what was the first thing eve did , (she told the devil what god said) but he was deceitful and pointed out the wonders of the tree. so it got her thinking, and sure enough like so many people (and the turkey),she caved. the morel of the story is go by what you know and dont try to make it on your feelings. we all get told by the devil that were not saved or something is wrong. but as long as we stay in the word and go with what we know we will make it |
