Post subject:  Hunting trip

My son and I get to go coon hunting every now and then. When we go we always ask God to keep us safe and keep our dogs safe. We have 1 smaller dog and one 70 lb dog. We turned them both loose and they struck and ran a little while and treed. Where we hunt there are thick swamps and bad underbrush. We started to the tree. These dogs are every breath tree dogs. We got about 100 feet away from them and all of a sudden the big dog changed his tree bark to a screaming help me bark. I told Adam to get to him quick. In a minute I heard Adam say, "I need a little help." When I got to the tree the dog's foot was wedged between 2 small trees. Adam was holding up that big dog with one hand to keep him off his leg where the dog's weight would not break his leg and was holding the dog's leg with the other hand so that I could get him loose. It's the same way with us. When problems of this world get so heavy that we can't hold up, if we live for Him, God will always be there for us. I believe that prayer gave my son enough strength to hold the dog long enough for me to get there and get the dog loose from the trees. Thank God for His love and mercy. Rev Don
