The Spirit of God draws us to confess our sins unto salvation.

Romans 10: 9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

John 4: 24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John the Baptist told us that Jesus would baptize us with the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Peter tells us that the Holy Spirit is promised to everyone that God calls.

Acts 2: 38-39
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Once we are saved and have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit we can ask for the gifts of the Spirit. These gifts will empower us to live and to work for God. Working together in our churches with these gifts, we can encourage each other and reach out to the lost.

God will give wisdom and knowledge on how to successfully live by His word. He provides the faith that we need to believe for the impossible. He will use us to pray for healing and any miracle that is needed.

A couple of years ago I needed a healing miracle. I was hunting in the swamps and had a heart attack. I could not move and was struggling to breathe. All I was able to say was “Lord, heal me because I have to preach tomorrow.” The Spirit of God immediately touched my body and healed me. I did not even have to go to the hospital. I did preach the next day and the Lord healed a lady who had a crippled arm.

The Spirit of God is quick and powerful. He will minister to our every need.

God uses Christians to give prophecy. Through His Spirit we can discern the spirits of people. We can be used by the Spirit to give messages in tongues and others can be used to interpret these messages for the building up of the church.

1 Corinthians 12: 7-11
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
