Post subject:  Let’s Not Throw Away Our Treasure

All this talk in the news about taking the lives of babies is a disgrace. God is the creator of life and the only One who has the right to call us home.

We have a treasure of our own from God. Our little grandson is 5 months old and I cannot image not having this precious little one in our lives.

God’s word tells us that He is the one who created us and formed us in our mother’s womb. He even speaks of knowing us before we are formed in the belly.

Psalm 139:13-16
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Jeremiah 1:5
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Psalms 119:73
73 Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

Children are a blessing and God says happy is the man that has many children. Our children are a reward from God.

Psalm 127: 3 -5
3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Proverbs 17:6
6 Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.

Jesus loved children and told us that we need to be more like them. We need to trust and believe like children and receive the kingdom of God like they do.

Mark 10:13-16
13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

The first to rejoice at the news of Jesus’ coming into the world was a fetus in His mother’s womb. John the Baptist leaped with joy when His mother, Elisabeth, heard Mary share the great news with her.

Luke 1: 41-44
41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

It breaks my heart to hear of a baby being aborted or killed. We should be doing everything we can to protect our babies (our gifts from God), not destroying them.

Please feel free to share my messages with others.

God Bless you,
