Post subject:  Depression

I heard on the news that there is a new medication for depression, especially for new mothers. The cost is $34,000 for the prescription.

Why would you want to pay this high price when God has already paid for our peace of mind when Jesus died on the cross for us?

We know that Satan is our accuser. He is always there to bring to our minds everything that is bad. He tells us we are too bad for salvation – that the things in our past are too hard to overcome. It is Satan’s job to make us only see the problems – to make us think that it is hopeless.

The Bible reminds us, however that Satan will be cast down, that his accusations will have no merit because our faults are covered by the Blood of Jesus.

Revelation 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Think of Job. If anyone had a right to be depressed, it was surely Job. But Job never lost his trust in God. Job held on until Satan gave up. God blessed Job with more than He had before the trials began.

If we have God in our lives, we have everything. We can be happy.

Psalms 146:5
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

Proverbs 16:20
…whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.

Romans 15:13
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

If we can keep our mind on God and trust in him, we can live in peace. Even though we cannot physically see God, we believe in Him and keep our trust in Him. No matter what Satan throws our way, we can have joy that the world cannot speak of – full of glory.

Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

1 Peter 1:8
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

We know what it is like to have to trust in the Lord. We have traveled many miles to preach His Word – sometimes with no money for food but He always blessed us. He never let us go hungry and He always kept us safe.

Thank you so much for reading my comments. May God bless you and keep you. May you find perfect peace and joy unspeakable.
