I can't help ya around Little Rock but you thumb a ride up to Ellsworth AFB and we will see you get some hound experience in SD

Ladies and Gents, I'm from South Texas originally and now I'm stationed here at Little Rock AFB. I've grown up doing all kinds of hunting but I've never had the opportunity to go coonhunting with dogs. I've always wanted a coon dog since reading "Where the Red Fern Grows". I was hoping yall could offer some advice on anything you want to pass along, i.e. what breed you like the most (i realize that will open a big can of worms) and if you need a 25 year old kid to get in the way some night when you're running your dogs around Arkansas I would more than appreciate the experience. Any advice as far as books to read, training, where, and when to go would be appreciated as well. Thanks. |
