Like just laying around chewing on it? Or what do you mean? I've had some that chewed the trees like a mulcher when treed so small amounts I couldn't imagine could ever hurt but how much are we talking?

We used to more or less, free range cows to make a living the best they could in the swamps. We gave them all they wanted of cottonseed meal and salt. Cottonseed meal is very HIGHPRO but the trick of it was to combine too much salt which would put the cows to work finding something to eat roughage which mostly meant Moss and alligatorweed and bark. Hey, don't criticize us swampers, there are still logs all up in the mountains of NC that has chopped out squares in them for Salt licks. Or the dog just might be bored like a racehorse eating the stable down.
