it took my black and tan out by himself last night. i turned him loose into a small crick next to a corn feild that was taken off. in a few minutes he treed. went in their to find out he wasnt treed but he had the coon bayed. he wouldnt fight the coon no matter what i did, i couldnt get him to fight it. so i pulled him away and let the coon go up the tree. shot it down and then the fight was on. maybe hes just smart enough to know he will get chewed up he takes a coon on by himself or maybe he a little bit of a sissy.lol etheir way ive never seen a coonhound do that before.

my smart english dog will sit there and bay it until he thinks the time is just right then he will grab it by the throat and it hold it. my walker will go in face first right off the bat and get turned into a bloody mess.

my 6 month old pup will wait for my good dog to fight then the pup will go for the back legs

I just got out of coonhunting.. night blindness is accually hereditary in my family.stinks im only 17. and love coonhunting.. but.. . a couple of my great uncles and great grandfather had it. but befor ewhen i was coonhunting alot. my english dog. never saw him bay. but he went to the ridge form the bottom one night and musta caught up pretty quick he treed it not 20 yards from its den in a little sapling he was nipping at its tail when we got there. my cousin wounded it and it made it to the den before anyone new what had happened .. even the dog thought it was dead he was looking on the ground for it. and going up the tree we accualy knocked it out and then the fight was on. coolest thing i ever had seen ..

my walker cought one tonight lol i thought he was just dickin around in there comes to find out he wasnt sayin anything cuz he had meat in his mouth lol

my redbone and plott have caught more on the ground then theyve treed, and its not much of a fight they kill it instantly by goin for the neck.
