Took my 7 month old Redbone/B&T out tonight and let him run with the big dog for the first time. Usually when we would take him he would stay on the lead or in the truck but always by me. On the one coon we got stirred up I had to put him back in the truck cuz the coon crossed onto private property that we don't have permission to hunt on. I got to the pup but my brothers dog was right on the coon so we had to do a little trespassing to get him, didn't shoot the coon just pulled the dog off. Went back to the truck and the water pump had busted and was leaking antifreeze all over, so we had to haul a$$ back to the house. Walked the dogs into a patch of woods by a swamp and cut em loose but couldn't turn nothin up. Pup was real impressive as far as stayin with the older dog and not tryin to run trash, except for treein a squirrel, lol. I'm proud as a peacock in him right now and hope he turns into the dog I think he can be. Just wanted to share my fortunate misfortune, Happy hunting.
