Just me, Deanie Baby and a dog or two, A nickle and a dime and a wore-out shoe. Livin' where we can, either here or there, Whichever place-we really don't care.
Doin' all we can to live off the land. Tryin' to make it without a helpin' hand. We've had our highs and we've had our lows, Whichever one we're on now, God only knows.
We both been rode hard and put up wet, But we never give up,on this you can bet, We raised 6 kids; they all turned out good; Two Ainsworths, a Rotramel, Lowrie, Moldt, and Wood. 12 of the very best grandkids-all our own. Some good as can be, some bad to the bone!
Fifty plus years have been rough on both of us, Sometimes it was fighting; or a great big fuss; But we've stuck together and passed the test, We're looking for the next years to be the best. We've got our faith built into Heaven above; Not a pocket full of money, but a heart full of love.
All in all, our lives together has been just great, It's time now to build that house on our lake! Only then can we say we've got it made, Wear silk pajamas, and sit in the shade; Swat flies and rock as long as we please, And watch our ole hound dogs gnaw their fleas.
When friends come by, we'll fix our favorite dish; We'll heat up the grease and fry taters and fish. This is the way we hope it'll be; Only time will tell-We'll wait and see. Yeah, we've been there, done that, I'm telling you; From now on. It's just me, Deanie Baby, and a dog or two.
