Ya that is the coon that cost me my knee. I just bought the walker dog to train my pup with. I guess she hadn't been hunted in awhile so the first couple nights she did ok just wasn't finding the coon well last night first drop she gets this one. Well all I had was a pellet rifle so I ended up shooting him about 9 times till he made his way down a limb and onto a Lil tree! So I decide I'm going to shack this coon out alive I tell my wife hold the dogs till I can stomp him out! Well I get him one time and next thing I know that walker dog and me are fighting the same coon ( still complete alive and pissed) so he gets hold of the walker I kick it off her face then go to stomp on it again when I do that walkers pulls him back I miss his head and hyperextended my knee ! So I finish the coon off hoping on one foot!! Let the pup loose to grub it and have its fun. All n all a good time I limped out the woods! And this morning my knee is blown up twice the size it should be!!! I'll never let a Lil bit of pain slow me down when it comes to protecting my hounds!!! Remember where I'm from the hounds come first!

Wow, that is one hunt you wont forget. I hope your knee heals up soon. I'm favoring a sore groin muscle from trying to extract a big boar coon off the back of my leg... I'll tell that story on an upcoming post.

if you are going to carry a gun...why dont you carry one that will kill the coon and not just make it mad?
