boys last night i took my 11 month old redbone out with my old b&t and 2 walker dogs. in 5 minutes time the b&t had a tree locked down. i took that red pup out of the box and cut her loose, she went straight for him. when we got to the tree it was a big ol cedar tree surrounded by other cedar trees. while shinin it she had the nose to the ground workin. then she pulled up split 30 yards from him. she's never made a bark in the woods. ive only had her out maybe 3 times. havent fooled with her much...i was sure proud even if it was another big cedar and we couldnt find the coon. turned her out on the next drop and the males were all over her. i put her up on the tailgate and sure enough she just had came into heat. she wasnt in heat when i left the house.. but thats just my luck get her out and she shows some promise and now shes in heat..

I know the feeling man. Had been hunting my walker gyp with an older male walker and she was really starting to get the hang of things. Then one night we had them tied to opposite sides of the tailgate waiting on it to get a little darker and when i looked down he was all over her, 'for lack of a better way to put it' lol.
