I took my 8 year old daughter coon hunting last night. One slick tree and one ran in hole. It didn't matter to me we didnt kill any coon. The best part Was holding her hand, talking with her and teaching her how to pee in the woods.

hahaha that is so sweet my dad use to coon hunt and tell me stories....but never took me out he actually got out of it cause of us kids then i picked it up with a couple friends of mine and now i have my dad back in it. Its the best way for a father and daughter to bound with I would have done it when I was younger.

I took my daughter when she was 6 for the first time and she loved it, got tired of watching me skin. Asked why we only hunted for as she put it "10 minutes and spend the next 15 skinning skoons" that is what she called them. I wasnt packing 5 coons to the next tree and she couldnt understand that, but when we got home with 14 coon she was wore out and even tried to ride the dog out. But it was fun she has always helped skin, find it and tried to let them out.
