Ok so I haven't paid attention to the date till we just got in from hunting,
my nephew went with me hunting tonight. The dogs treed a couple of times, on the nasty most gnarly twisted tangled up trees that ran together absolutely full of leaves and seemed to touch the sky. It seemed to make shining them impossible.. The dogs also seemed to take FOREVER to tree them. I mean I love to hear the race but tonight seemed to take way longer than they ever normally do...like they was just out there standing on there dang heads farting around. Somehow I lost a headlamp somewhere, drove off with it on the back of the truck I suppose. The young dog somehow lost my shock collar. I pretty sure it was tight??
The truck wouldn't kick out of 4 wheel drive into 2 wheel drive all night until I pulled in, to put the dogs up.
Then as we are walking into the house my nephew says, "Hey it's Friday the 13th, we should of skipped tonight!"
Go figure idk.....still better than sitting in the house on some of the first cool nights we've had!!
