| Post subject: | Bitter sweet night |
So I've been messing with this pup for the last couple of months and he's been showing more potential then any other dog I've ever trained. So last night I took him walking down the creek for the third time just letting him walk around and get used to being out at night. After about ten minutes he hit a track and was doing very well with it until he hit a pasture and I thought he may be running deer! As imagined I was upset until he followed it back into the woods and treed! No need to mention I was on cloud nine since it seemed like his work with drags and such had paid off but when I got to the tree it was a possum. Although somewhat disappointing I can't fail to mention that a month and a half ago when I bought him he had never even had a collar on and ran free 24/7. I was pretty excited to see him starting to get the idea so soon. |
