I just bought a collar and just now relized it didnt have aplace to hook your leash it just has a center ring in the middle. Do i just hook my leash to that? What are the advantages to this type collar?

I'm guessing it's probably not suppose to be like that? I'd say either take it back or just hook it on the center ring. I don't think it'll hurt anything really.

Your supposed to hook it in that center ring, its better because it is easier to hook to when you dog is all hyped up and jumping around.

That is all I use it is the only collar I use for hounds. For one it is sturdy for a hound will less likely break loose when they are tugging on it at a tree. I wouldn't use anything else on a hound.

I have to agree with Up the Tree, the center ring is always on top and easy to get to.

It is also safer for the dog. There is less chance of collar geting snaged on someting.(jmo)

Thats all I run. All I have ever run. Dogs are far less likely to get hung up and the collars last longer. Seemingly.

Its the best collar. They are made just for hunting dogs. The center ring made with harness leather..They last 2 years more if you chain them out. Some last a lot longer. If you kennel your dogs..

bobby did you buy the collar at the feed / lawn and garden store just east of arbys and circle k ? if not go there the next time ... their collars are priced just as cheap as anyone in town and they give you a free name tag to go on the collar ...

bobby ...
the only 2 decent places to get dog supplies around here are dale's sport garden on state road 256 just east of austin , indiana and clifty feed and garden in madison , indiana .... dale has about 100 times as much stuff as clifty and is by far the better of the 2 for hunting and dog supplies ... dale sells good used guns too ...

the collars I use have a center ring and a D-ring near the buckle. Only ones I buy. Last well and give me two options to snap to. Really nice when dog is jumping around. 8)
