I am thinking about building my own light but am a little confused about it. I mean to get your voltage I know you have to hook the batteries up in series but how do you increase the amperage rating at the same time? I have a wheat style light head to go on it. I mean I have a good light just thought it would be fun to build one myself. Any info

Current is equal to the voltage divided by the resistance. So if you put the batteries in series you will increase your voltage, and over the same resistor (bulb) you will increase your amperage. (ohm's law)

Check out candlepower forums, those guys are all about building and modifying lights. They can give you all the information that you need.
