I have an Astro 220 and 3 DC 40's. They do great in our mtns here in Southwest Virginia. They lose signal some but in these mtns and with all our woods and brush what do u expect. DC30's r great to though

Hey TC,
Thanks for telling me about the lower ID numbers being better. I switched to a lower number and didn't lose my dog for even a minute out in the woods and he was in some heavy brush. I was never too far away from him but the collar performed 10x better than it did last time.

I have both a Dc 30 and a Dc 40. The 30 I have never had a lick of trouble but the 40 I have gone through 2 of them they just stop working garmin sends me a new one no problem but for that much Money shouldn't have to keep replacing them

After reading this i can get a Garmin 2-dog Combo Astro 320 with DC 40 GPS and they will keep replacing the collar when it messes up? How well do these work in the deep woods? The price on Gun Dog Supply is $749.88 for a 2 dog system, is there any cheaper places to buy? Thanks for the help
