big you must have some dang good trained dogs...if we let our hounds out and they cant strike a track right away, they will keep going till they find one...in northern wi there isn't a ton of coon, just enough to make it worth while to run

We have a couple dogs that are silent when they track...with coyote hunting they can cold trail a coyote for quite a ways so you kind of need a tracking box...the dogs sure blow up when the coyote is jumped though, thats when the fun starts!

I rely like the tracker classic, if you try it you will like it to, its small accurete, and has pretty good range! JMO

They will go out and get coon if their ain't any around. It's kind of flat out here so you can hear them pretty good. We usually hit a track pretty close, but sometimes they wind up taking it a long ways off and we just kind of follow them when they start huntin anyways. Tried using a tracker for about 2 weekends and decided ear was better for me. I was considering buying so it why I used it. I will say they come in handy in some situations though. Esp. for people that hunt semi-urban areas, cause there is a lot of house dogs barking and stuff.
