 Post subject: tracking collar question

i got two collars on the same channel- theyre both 216.325 i think (without looking) my question is is can you get the frequency changed to like a 216.425? its probably a stupid question but i dont know anything about trackers... i can barely use it to find my dog when i have to lol :lol:

oh by the way i got the kind that you take to a shop and they stick a new battery in it and it works again lol if that matters... :lol: :wink:

i would say yes u can but the cost may be high. My suggestion would be to try and trade someone for a different collar.

i dont know of anyone that runs on my frequecy (216) everyone i know runs 217 or 219

Get with Redgy with Valley Creek Supply (Link on on our homepage) and tell him that you are interested in swapping 1 tracking collar for another used tracking collar with same freq. but different channel. He may have a used one in stock and may be willing to swap out with you. It may cost you a couple extra dollars. Anyhow, just contact him and see what you guys can work out.

what is the # on the collar i have a couple that are 216 frequecy i might would trade one if yours are not the same channel as mine

mine will only pick up 216 --- 000 through 099

I got 216 collars 3 of em. but I don't like to think about sending collar off to get a batt installed.

I'd say a good radio guy can change the frequency. It probably would not be cost effective.
