I seen in the new Coonhound Bloodlines that Cajun has a special on their lights. Whats the beter of two the Cajun Gator or the Cajun 17 Volt? I have used my buddys Cajun Gator before and like it, but I can pick up the 17 Volt for the same price.

The difference is the special is a a stripped down version without all the extra features.

yeah Buckshot I seen that. From what I see the only difference is that the 17 Volt they have on special is that it dosent have the 5 position switch, the belt and pop cover pouch, and the bump cap.

Since the battery fits perfectly in my hunting pack(I got one of those big fanny packs with shoulder straps) I wouldent need that.and the light hooks perfectly on the shoulder strap. It has the dimmer switch so if you kept it turned down low that should reduce battery consumption right???

This coon hunting is all new to me, we mainly just run lions here in Montana. but I want to start coon hunting more, but not enough to warrent a 425 dollar light. If I did it every night of the year it that might be a different story. I want to get a decent light so I dont have to keep borrowing my buddys light.
