I just bought a tracker classic, from just the little bit of use I have had with it, they seem to work well. you definiatley need to practice with it a little bit before heading out on a hunt, though.

I would like to know if the new Tracker systems are any better than the old ones because the older ones would read in one direction but if turned 180 degrees it would read in that direction too so you really didnt know where your dog was then

I am also looking at a tracker classic and right now have a rd 300 just wondered how accurate the classic is and ease of use. Need a system to be confident with.

I had a mn10, Bought a brand new classic, it works as good or better than my mn10, I love it, the guy that asked about 180 degrees, Mine does pick up 180 degees but the signal is not near as strong but when you turn it down you lose the signal behind you, just have to adjust it, but I will tell you I will never own anything but the classic now,
John

I HAVE A 1000. IT WORKS GREAT BUT YOU NEED TO PRACTICE WITH IT. I HAVE HAD A QUICK TRACK. IT IS THE EASIEST SYSTEM TO USE AND THE RANGE IS BETTER AROUND OUR AREA. WE LIVE IN PRETTY GOOD HILLS AND HOLLOWS. RIGHT NOW I HAVE A INNOTEK FOR MY SON TO USE. IT'S THE BEST TO PINPOINT WITH BUT PROBABLY THE HARDEST ONE TO MASTER.THINKING ABOUT PUTTING IT ON A MINI ANTENNA JUST TO SEE HOW IT DOES.

i have a tracker clasic and i love it! saw some of you had questions about range...........the nice peaple at tracker raidio say, line of site= 12 miles, places like texas= 10-11 miles, places that are mostly flat like ohio, indiana......= 4-6 miles, places like the hills of west virginia= 3-4 miles, and places like west virginia mountains....= 1-3 miles. i have tested this therie and i think it is very accurrete. with my tracker it has 11 led lites, green, orange, and red. the best way to track is to set the wheel to were your geting all 3 green and mabye 1 or 2 orange. if you spin in a circle and this is set like this you will get that reading were the dog is, then youll get 1 or 2 green leds 180o around you. all in all its nice! youll just need practice before real use in the woods. hope this helps anyone. jack
