I just got my quicktrack setup with 2 collars. I can turn the antenna part on but how do i turn the collars on? I notice there is a magnet or square piece on the collar. Im just completely lost. And how do i know which channel and how to tune it and so forth. I bought this used so no instructions. Anybody want to guide me to how this works? What does the collars run off of? I dont see anywhere to put batteries and such.

Sorry, but i am a COMPLETE noob at this stuff. Never used them.

one of my collars is 216.195
other collar is 216.123

So based on that info... what channel/tune should i be on for each color. The examples they use are 217.053... I understand that would be channel 5, tune to 3. But what if, as in my case, the collar is .123?

I have the qtr-10m

Tune Knob: This knob fine tunes the receiver to
match your collar. The last number of your collar will
be your starting point for fine tuning your receiver.
Using the same example above. The receiver has a
freq. range of 217.000 - .099 and a collar on 217.052
would work on channel (05) and fine tune around the
number (2) which is the last number of the frequency
on the collar 217.05(2). A collar on 217.086 would
work on channel (08) and fine tune around the number
(6) which is the last number of the frequency on the
collar 217.08(6). Please note the tuning number is just
a starting point. You may adjust the tune knob above or
below the number to fine tune for best reception. It
may also vary from summer to winter.

Ok... here was my deal...

The channel knob only wants to turn clockwise so when i tried to go CCW, the knob would then be wrong as to what channel it was on. The dot will indicate one thing but its really on a different channel. So i went almost a mile down the road and left my collar hanging on the mailbox. I flipped through the channels and found each channel for each color and wrote it on the collar. I now know to only turn it CW to ensure that the dot and channel stay the same. So i think ive got it figured out. And i found out that removing the magnet turns it on and putting it back in turns it off. If im missing anything or if there are any tips anyone may want to offer, feel free! Thanks for the help buckshot!
