i need some input on how ya'll set up your scanner, power amp, and yagi. i know how to hook them up, but what are the best way's of mounting or not mounting? i heard it's not a good idea to hook power amp directly to scanner? let's see some pic's of your set-ups |

I have been using this setup 3 years now with no problems. The Icom has velcro on the back and velcro is on the yagi. I have heard that the booster can strip the BNC connection on the Icom, but I haven't had that issue. The only time I take the icom off the yagi is when I chnage my rech. batteries out. I do not have to remove the booster to do so, so the booster stays on at all times. I can change the battery out of the booster as well without having to remove it from the Icom too. |

Buckshot Tornados did not get u ?? Ur correct, remove the amp only when needed. That is what breaks the BNC connector and also having the amp velcro down to the antenna prevents this also. |
