Your hunt will be alot better when you know where your $1500 dog is after 30 mins and you haven't heard anything. My dogs have one on the second i take em out of the pen. Wouldn't hunt without em

personal i used a tracker classic and i love its small and compact but it only tracks two dogs and is about $600 i also use a quick track 6000 when i am hunting alot of dogs its for sure the easiest system to use and will track any frequency all you have to do is punch in the number but i also hate it because its so big the tracker spoiled me because its about the size of a tv remote. it all boils down to the way you hunt and how many dogs you hunt.

trackers saved our dogs last night... went out with my neighbor last night and ran into a life saving night for the dogs. they were close by for a while and then took off. we thought we heard the dogs over the hill, but couldn't hear well enough due to the creek... drove over the hill and put the tracker on them... both dogs were about a 1/2 mile from where we started and had crossed a major 4 lane highway! they were treed about 300 yards across the road over the hill. we could barely hear them even when we were close because of the traffic. had we not had our trackers on, it wouldve been a long night of searching, and possibly for a dead dog... we wouldve most likely looked where they were last... tracking system saved 2 dogs and a lot of worrying last night. you CANNOT go wrong with a good tracking system.

if u ask what system is best your gonna get about 5 different anwsers.
if u plan on huntin just 2-3 dogs..a tracker classic..qtr3..mn3..any of those would be fine.for more dogs u want somethin that can run more frequencies. thery are pretty simple to run..all they really are is modified scanners. tree switches just let u know your dogs are treein..not really a necassity just a nice option. they are really werth every penny.
