I run two collars, lets just say red and green.when I get to where I'm going to hunt, I turn on the 220 unit and both collars, then I clear all the history on the unit. Then I get the dogs out and collar them up. Then I cast them. OK the green collar has worked eveytime and the red one works most of the time. I know of at least three times that the red collars has not started working until 15 or 20 min in the hunt. I dont like it at all when it does this becouse I dont know where the dog is and I'm not for sure if it is going to start working. What do I do? Is it the collar or something I doing wrong? but ist always the same collars.

I turn on the collars and link them up going to my spot then I start and stop tracking with the 220 never shutting the collars off till I'm done hunting. I just have to remember to start a new hunt each time to clear the last hunt history if I'm not saving it. :?

I heard any other collars other than Garmin's are all illegal. After 09-11 government are much strict on those device interfere with airliner, ship, military radars. could get receiver, collars, truck confiscated not mentioning prison time.

when coonhunting i turn all collars on and the garmin on while loading dogs and getting ready. you might have a bad connection under the collar plate. had one collar do the same thing and checked the rest.
