I had 2 of my brand new quick track collars quit on me the other night. I turned the dogs out to empty and a couple got out of pocket and when I pulled my box out to find them I couldn't get a signal on one of the collars. Luckily I had a pup that would shadow the gyp with the dead collar and was able to find them that way. After that I decided to check the rest of the collars and the one on my strike dog was dead as well. I got real lucky because my strike dog is one that will keep going until you find him. I might never have gotten him back. They worked fine 3 weeks ago and Ive hunted a few times since, but never turned out and had to use the tracker during that time so I don't know when the problem started. Now the strange part. I put the magnets back in and headed home. The next morning I pulled them out ready to send them in and they both worked fine. Any ideas or similar experience's. The guy at Quick track sugggested something about a "dead dog" feature that shuts the collars down after a period of inactivity, but even so they should have came back on when the dogs started moving. One other tidbit, it only happened to the collars with tree switches. I don't know if that was just coincidence or what. Thanks
Jim

I just got a used collar from a guy that said he bought it last March. I have just got it and only tested it around the house. But twice now it has blanked out right in the middle of a good signal. It sort of transmits spuradically, and then starts to get a good beep again. I am nervous about it when it comes time to really have to use it.

It must be a common thing with these collars. Mine was doing the same thing. Sent it back in and they had to replace with a new one. When I get to orangeburg Im going to trade the new one in a marshal with the lights and see if it is better.
