Is there any reviews up for this product yet. I want to buy one but I would like some feedback from some guys who have one. Is it worth the cash?

Got my Garmin Astro and additional DC-30 collars a few days ago. I ordered them from Cabelas 2-3 weeks ago. I'll know more about it in a few days. So far at short range it's OK. Still trying to learn all the features. One thing I have found out is if the dog goes under a roof (house, doghouse, barn, etc) the signal is lost. I was trying to figure out where my dog got to and he was laying on the porch.

I ordered mine from Lion country supply with the new coller and a extra coller mine came in today. I will keep yall posted on how I like it,this is my first one so I can't really compare the collers. Did anybody get the CD with there package I thought they were 100.00 Extra but I didn't pay extra for mine?

Mine works great, alot better reception than the old stlye collars, had a gliche in my handheld but Garmin replaced it under warranty, all in all very satisfied with my Garmin, wont take my dog to the woods without it anymore, just my 2 cents worth.

Well, im convinced. I started saving up for one, and assuming work goes good for a few weeks i should have one before the kill season starts.

I talked to a friend of mine the other day & he has the new garmin collar. He said he really liked the new collar, he had a dog get deep & tree at 1.6 mile & had no trouble. I know a couple of bear hunters that just got theirs so I'll know more about the range on them soon.

I talked to a few bear hunters and the range is at .7 to 1 mile only. It is a relilable signal for the most part but the range is not there. They also tested it on an open hay field and it got 1 mile max.

Save your money for something that can find your dog not something that MIGHT.

Was that with the new collars or the old ones? What other products are there other than radio collars, they work but they arent as cool.
