well i think im gonna buy one and just make the square.. ill use the 1/2 in wood and paint it real good on the outside and the edges of the plywood.. then put cocking along the 2x2s before i screw the plywood to it.. think that would work ok?

SURE.EVEN IF THE PLYWOOD DETERIORATED AFTER TEN YEARS,ALL THE HARDWARE WOULD STILL BE GOOD.

has anyone ever added top storage to one of these boxes? if so could you send me a message with pictures and describe how you did it? thanks

Mine is three seasons old and still in grat shape. I painted mine with heavy duty deck paint with three coats and put caulking under the angle stock to keep water out of the edges.

I am starting one now. I learned the past is to chalk in inside of the box also. I used 4 ply 1/2 inch plywood. If u get this DIY god box make sure u chalk under the trim pieces and the door. Will have my box soon. If anybody has any questions just let me know.

Can you use aluminum on this instead of plywood? I know aluminum is more expensive but I have a guy that can hook me up. Its the some stuff thats covers gas stations. Think this will work?
