Water, Boil some water and then let it cool it should do the trick. You can buy distilled water but boiling it does the same.

I've been using my Grandpa's old Wheat light and it works alright. It had been sitting for nearly 15 years. Filled it with distilled water, hooked it on the charger and presto...Light! It wasn't really bright and it won't operate for more than 3-4 hours, not to mention it gets pretty heavy. I have since taken the head and attached it to a 6 volt lead-acid battery from Orshceln. Works great now!!! I'm glad because there is no way I would have parted with that old light.

original wheat heads are the best made out there 5100 heads kinda twist onto the charger like an old skeleton key 5200 heads slide down onto charger 5800 heads charge through battery top the batteries need to be filled with water like a car battery you can use a syringe to put water into the holes in the front of battery these lights use dual filament 4 volt bulbs switch on head to change between high and low and to focus beam unless using BM30 bulbs than both sides are same brightness if you decide to upgrade to a new light keep them old heads they can be put on newer lights saving money and getting better quality at same time especially if they are 5200 style the last time these were offered new they sold for $90 a piece hope I was some help
