Some dogs won't mess with hides or caged coons, but when you take them to the woods they'll blow the tops out.

My dog wants nothing to do with a dead one - coon, squirrel you name it. Let her catch wind of something alive and she is a completely different dog.

She could be a (me too) dog..What that is she gos along just does enough to get the coon..Cant tree one alone.....If that is what she does dont let her have a coon without doing the work to tree it....What was she doing when you sold her????..After a dogs started a few months off should not hurt them at all....Has she been hunted any alone???..Thats the only way to know how far along she is.....(Theres a lot of me too dogs out there).I know of several guys over the years. That sold the good old dog cheap. To hunt young dogs..Come to find out many of them couldnt tree there own coon..Hunt ALL young dogs alone as much as possible...........Its the only way to finish them out right..................

well i took her hunting withe my back and tan and my frieds black and tan and a litter mate to her well we let them loose on the first drop and they all 4 ran one in a hole the the 2 blueticks came back and the 2 black and tans treed a possum well we loaded them up and went some where else soon as they got out og the box my female bluetick opened up on a track i mean burning that track up then they all started running it they ran it threw a rive threw a big field across the road and then tree it we got over there and looked and found it and shot it out so i think she still knows how to tree a coon and thats first time out for her in 2 months
