We treed a coon tonight but before we left the truck we were pretending we were at a UKC hunt.We turned out and my 8 month old pup struck first,my buddy was handling our 3 year old female and he struck her second. The race was good and hot.The 3 year old treed first but she left the tree.I treed my pup second.I know the 3 year old is minused for leaving, the other two dogs in our simulation cast got 3rd strike and third tree one of them. Then the other dog showed up late and was struck and treed at the same time, taking fourth strike and tree.Heres the problem,we shined the tree and found nothing(seemed to be slick)As we were being disappointed about the slick,I shined one last time and seen that the tree had limbs that grew into another tree, and after shinning for about a minute found the old ringtail.Heres my question ,one of the guys said I would have to take minus points because the coon was in a different tree.I said noway and I was headed back to the clubhouse to file a complaint with the master of houndsLOL!But seriously I've never had that happen in a hunt,How would it be scored? And would the cast vote?If so I would be very mad!

The tree will be plus, if the coon is in a tree where the limbs clearly cross over to one another, but sometimes that is a matter of opinion, if you know what I mean

Had this happen to me at a hunt, and it was circled.

If I were in a position to win and they made me take circle points I'd be really upset ,knowing my dog is treeing were it went up!The politics of this sport will drive you crazy.Sometimes it's better to leave scorecards at home and tree a coon.

I have had this happen as well and it was scored plus but like i was getting at it will depend on how the cast would vote if one or more didn't see the connecting limbs. It is all about people being honest, good luck with that happening
