Well. Going back to the beginning. Maybe I don't have the collar positioned on her neck right. In order to keep the probes in on spot and so the collar doesn't move around to much when she scratches or shakes her head I put it in the side of her neck not under her chin. I saw in a video that if the dog doesn't respond well to put it on the side instead of under the chin. But I emailed Garmin and they said to put it under the chin. That's where it is now but when she scratches or shakes her head it will move from under chin. But if I put it any tighter she will statrt coughing.

It does need to be under the chin. The closer to the base of the skull the better. It should move a little when she scratches or rolls around but as she moves it should settle back down. It shouldn't be so tight that she can't breath but not lose where it moves without effort.

Ok. I put it under her chin. I had one time today where she ignored the collar. So maybe that was the problem.

Well I had to turn it up when she ignores it. But I'm still having a problem when she drops her head to smell ground it don't work. It can't go any tighter she will start to hack. Maybe her neck isn't filled out enough up near her jaw and the collar slides to much. The skin on her neck is really loose.

You can try sliding it down the neck a little. But it will probably be loose and slide around too much. Have you tried making it looser but using longer prongs?

Do you think using the longer probes might work better? Even if the collar is tight and probes are under her chin it still moves off to the side of her throat and it's still not working when she drops her head to the ground. I'm about ready to take it back and get a different one.
