I have an honest question how does wooping your dog do any good. Does it teach it when you open the door it might get hit. This is not a good method in my opinion. Make the dog enjoy the box. Maybe start putting its food in the box where it has to go in there to eat or give it something like a cows hoof or pig ear in the box to occupy it. I believe in wooping the dog in the box you are not correcting any problems you are just creating them. Of course I have never laid a heavy hand on any of my dogs. The effct you are getting is because you have wooped her. It doesn't do any good Just makes them scared of you. You might be able to bring her back with alot of positive reinforcement and social time with you.

On the breeding question it depends on the dog I say atleast 2 1/2 years on some some never. Depends on the dog and its abilities and traits.

Bark collar in the box. The dog will associate no barking while in the box very fast. This has never failed me. Breeding is a personal choice in my opinion. I have bred some bird dogs at two years of age but they were remarkable dogs in every way.
