I taught my dog a "dead" command. A few swats on the nose with the leash when i was carrying the coon out. He picked it up pretty quick.

When i was skinning last time though, he sat right next to me while I did it. And if the other dog came to check it out he would jump him. The only way I could think to fix that was to just kick him out of the garage while I was doing it.

i had the same prob the other night, im trainin my yr old female, wit my 7 yr old male, well he started a trail and sounded sure so i let my female loose, cause she's been known 2 run trash. well the coon stayed on the ground, and she ran right into it and it was woopin her but, then they both got on it but was still woopin em so we came over there, then after most of the fight was out of it, my male got real hateful wit my lil gyp. i hollard at him, then she went in 4 another bite, and he come unglued on her. i grabed em both and knocked the ##*%* out of him. but it didnt dink in, so then she jus set there and bayed it lol. but he didnt do that with a 2 yr old male jus her.

How old is this dog? If it is young I would tie her up when I shot the coon. If it is a older dog it wouldnt live in my kennel. I am no expert and I dont want to make anyone mad here but I have no time for a ill dog. I dont trust a mean dog if it was only over coon that would be easy ,tie one up. You dont know though if a mean dog will jump another dog on the tree before you get there, then you have a problem. Just my oppinion hopefully someone wiser could help you better. Good luck

8 months old you should be able to correct her . I would have her around other dogs alot in different situations let her know you are the alfa. It is pretty important time to get it in her that no aggresion will be accectable. You have to be careful to how you correct her you dont want her to scared of you IMO. Put the time in now and it will pay off later. I think you will be alright she is just a pup. Good luck with her.

i have broken dogs from this before but once upon a time there was a dog named june.the 1 in my picture.you CANNOT get a coon from her dead or alive.she will let another dog tear her to shreds but wont let it go to defend herself.you can pic all 4 of her feet off the ground by lifting the coon over your head.you can shock her whoop her jab ribs and put her lips under her teeth so that she bites through them.some dogs just have that drive in em and theres nuttin you can do.but i believe you can break yours if you get on the ball and do it while shes still young
