Never posted anything on here because I have not a coon hound, but have been on here a few times looking around. Well I found myself a coon hound finally! She is a 2 1/2 yr old English coon hound, and already trees!. Cant wait to work with her, and will probably be asking some questions along the way. Thanks for looking, and let me know what you think.

She is a real looker and I watched the video too, she looks and sounds good. She seems like she might turn out good for ya. Here is my English female. Only one that isn't a walker lol

Thanks PAcooner! I really hope she works out. Like I said, she is my first coon dog, and all I ask from her is too not leave the country looknig for a coon, and maybe find me a few coon this season. Is there any information I should know about these English dogs? Like if they cold trail a lot or how far they range usually?

That all depends on the dog and its bloodlines

Ok! I was wondering because I raise rabbit dogs also, and that is all decided on bloodlines, and the dog also. I did talk to her previous owner again today, just to be sure of her hunting range. I found out it all depends on conditons and turrain of coarse, but most of the time her range is no more then 200 yards, and there is no worries of her taking off on me. I was really excited to here this information, and now I am really looking forward to gettting her into the woods. I always get nervous taking my new dogs into the woods, because you never know what is going to happen. I will not look for a dog that wants to just run off, and hunt by itself. I am out there to have fun WITH the dogs, not look for them all night
