She and her sister were abandoned at a hunt club on the eastern shore of Maryland last year (zip code 21838). Can anyone help me identify her and what she is, specifically? You should hear her sing....

Thanks, but Buckshot (one of the moderators) says she isnt full B&T because of her ears and head. What do you think?

You are correct, as I told you in our PM exchanges today, I do not think she is 100% B&T.........which most of the dogs from Dog Rescues are usually mixed.

Her face/jawline is more like a Dobie. I do not belive her to 100& B&T.

As I mentioned in my PM, I have seen Dobie crosses that looked like that as well as Rottie crosses too. B&T's are not the only ones with those unique markings and coloring.

Also said in our PM exchanges today, I have been wrong before and have ate my share of crow.

I still hold the opinion that the dog is not 100% B&T after viewing the link you sent to the photo album on the dog.

That is my opinion...........others opinions could be that she is 100% B&T. With her being a rescue dog, no way to know 100% what she really is.

I would suggest a dna kit that can be bought and done at your local vet. Think they charged me $50 to test my so called bluetick. At 7 weeks old he sure looked like a winner but his tail got fuzzy and his ears never grew. Turned out he is springer spainel Irish setter golden retriever lab mix... He started pointing retriving fetching sitting coming going as a pup but I never understood why he wouldn't tree:grin:

I think Buckshot is pretty close. Except I believe it's 0% black-n-tan. It looks an awful lot like a dog a friend used to have that was a Dobie that never had her ears done or tail docked.

Good idea, fellas. I thought she was Dobie, too, until she started baying and following trail. I'll check with the vet;I had no idea the DNA tests were so cheap; figured they would be a couple hundred at least.

Hey, tellas, never mind. I just found some pix that look EXACTLY like Chloe, even the curvy tail. She's a Dobie all right. Found them on Wikipedia.

A friend of mine thought she was a Beaucereaun too, but her fur is too short, and the head/snout is wrong. Also, Chloe's tail has an upwardcurve to it.

Thanks for the input, though. :)
